Helping Hands Home Repair
The Helping Hands home repair program partners volunteers with existing low and moderate-income homeowners to perform critical home repairs and maintenance. Examples include: painting, siding, new windows and doors, roofing, gutter and downspouts, general carpentry, landscaping, and property clean-up.
To maintain homeowner dignity and provide for future Helping Hands projects, each homeowner is asked to repay the cost of materials and subcontracted services used in completing their project through a five-year, zero-interest loan with monthly payments typically between $50 and $100. Helping Hands partner families also contribute sweat equity working alongside volunteers in completing their projects. If this is not physically possible, family and friends can contribute on the homeowner's behalf, or creative opportunities for homeowner participation can be worked out.

2. Is your home in need of exterior repairs and maintenance?
3. Do you have homeowner's insurance?
4. Are your property taxes paid up to date?
5. Are you, your family and/or friends willing to help with your project?
6. Can you repay the cost of materials through a zero-interest loan with affordable payments?
7. Does your income from all sources fall within these guidelines?
